Geoverse Selects Ericsson Dot System for its U.S. Enterprise Private LTE Offering

  • Designed to make Private LTE wireless networks technically and economically more feasible for enterprises

  • 5-bar in-building cellular coverage and capacity for occupants; IoT connectivity for building and enterprise applications

  • Designed, deployed, and operated as a service by Geoverse

BELLEVUE, WA – February 20, 2019 14:00 (GMT) - GEOVERSE, LLC (Geoverse), a subsidiary of ATN International, Inc (NASDAQ: ATNI), has selected Ericsson’s Radio Dot System to provide in-building coverage and capacity for its U.S. enterprise Private LTE offering.

Ericsson’s Radio Dot System allows Geoverse to unleash a high-capacity, lightning-fast indoor mobile service to overcome the lack of seamless mobile coverage and poor user experience common inside many buildings. Geoverse’s Private LTE offers an alternative for IoT connectivity at the long-range level that is currently available almost exclusively by wireless carriers and operators of low-power wide-area networks (LPWAN). In addition to supplying greater quality coverage and capacity, Geoverse’s Private LTE supports corporate-level applications, virtual PBX systems, and other enhanced solutions.

Roderick Nelson, CEO, Geoverse, says: “With its Radio Dot System, Ericsson is redefining the concept of indoor small cells by enabling us to offer customers the industry’s most cost-effective and modular high-performance indoor cellular solution. The Radio Dot System addresses a wider range of indoor environments with a common solution deployed with the simplicity and cost of commercial WiFi."

Geoverse is focused on providing solutions based on Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) and offers multi-band networks combining CBRS with LTE. This configuration enables Geoverse customers to experience full capabilities of the latest cellular technology, including LTE Advanced Pro and LTE-M for IoT.

Kevin Zvokel, Head of Networks, Ericsson North America, says: “The Radio Dot System is designed to help expand the growing demand for better mobile coverage and capacity while preparing networks for 5G and IoT applications. Together with Geoverse, we are demonstrating capabilities that showcase what customers can expect today and tomorrow.”

The Ericsson Radio Dot System has been deployed by more than 120 operators in over 70 countries around the world, in venues including airports, hotels, hospitals, shopping malls, and office buildings.
